As with any other project, expecially Anglias, space often becomes an issue in the engine bay. So most people will start throwing away extra comodities such as parcel shelf, heaters and so on to make place for more performance parts. This is a very normal thing to do and my car is no exception.

For the time being I have installed a brake servo unit (aka power-brake) under the glovebox, and prepared the pedal box mounting places to place the master cylinders under the dash. Future plans include a manual brake adjusting leaver to distribute pressure between the front and rear brakes, and front line locks. I have not installed a bias pedal box because then it would be quite difficult to include a brake servo in the setup.

Brake servo unit
Part Description: Ford / Hillman Brake Servo Unit AP Lockheed.
Alterations: The servo was installed under the glovebox using some spacers to mount the angles according to the instructions.
From where: This was bought from E-bay.

Pedal Box (Return to top)
Part Description: Mounting bracket.
Alterations: As I have moved the firewall further back, the interior mounting point of the pedal box had to be moved as well. I have placed a threaded plate in the bracket to be able to screw in the bolts.
From where: The bracket was custom made. Threaded plate from the original pedalbox.

Part Description: Internal hydraulic pedal box.
Alterations: A set of pedal covers with non slip rubber were installed and kept in place with small bolts, nuts & washers. The integral master cylinders were placed there only to take measurements, I will be buying wilwoods eventually.
From where: The pedalbox was bought for a very reasonable price from Motorsport Parts. The pedal covers were bought from a local shop.

Part Description: Remote hydraulic reservoirs.
Alterations: None
From where: The reservoirs were bought from Motorsport Parts as well.
Remote hydraulic reservoirs Remote hydraulic reservoirs
Part Description: Reservoirs mounting bracket.
Alterations: Originally I was planning to mount the reservoirs on a bracket I had ordered with them (above), however I failed to find a compromise between looks and function. I had seen Anglias mounting the reservoirs in one of the heater holes on a flat sheet of stainless steel. This has the advantage that there is a very short distance to the pedal box, but the reservoirs would have be kept on an incline. That is why we decided to use the same theory, but solving the incline problems with the part shown in the pictures below. While we were at it we also did a matching part to close the other heater hole.
From where: My brother did the drawings on the computer. I then gave these to a local machine shop and got them manufactured out of aluminium. This was not the cheapest of options, but was the cleanest solution I could think of.

Bucket Seats
Part Description: Xprix bucket seats with Sparco seat railing and 4 point harness.
Alterations: The railing will have to be modified to fit the Anglia floor. Eventually I will be covering these in Vinyl and adding some more padding to the back.
From where: I saw these in an advert locally and went to have a look at them. I took one to the garage to see if it fits right and they fit perfectly in the car, so I bought them at a bargain price.

Rollcage
Part Description: 8 point rollcage.
Alterations: The rollcage was custom made out of iron piping. It was made to be bolt on to the vehicle using flanges from the top and the bottom, effectively sandwiching the original floor panels of the estate.
From where: This was fabricated from scratch at a local shop.
