Modified Fords have seen all sorts of engines being put into them, from a modified pre-crossflow to Cosworths to V8s. The engine choice is totally up to the creativity and engineering skills of the individual building it. Of course, one must keep in mind that not all engines are straight forward to fit, expecially into an Anglia.
I have opted for a 2.0L Zetec silvertop that was originally on a Ford Mondeo. There were a number of reasons for this choice:
1) From previous research I knew there are a number of performance parts available.
2) It has already been tried and tested on a number of Anglias.
3) You can get a decent Zetec for a very good price.
4) Twincam 16V will give a great oldschool sound with throttle bodies or carbs!
The rest of this section is filled with the specifications and pictures of the parts I am using on my vehicle. Wherever possible I have also included links and item numbers to the pages I have sourced the items from.
