Welcome to angliazetec.com!

This website is about a project where I am installing a Mondeo 2.0L silver-top Zetec into a Ford Anglia estate. I am also including a number of tips and links to various websites which will greatly help anyone planning to tune his own classic Ford. In the local events section I am including pictures of car events I attend to for you to enjoy.

Feel free to leave any feedback, comments and suggestions in the guests section!

25-10-2010: Bodywork & mods
Back in April I had taken the car to the pannel beater to sort out some rust areas and also do some modifications for me. These included the usual rust work, fitting quarter bumpers, new battery tray, and so on. More in the body section.

07-10-2010: Soon progress!
The project has been dorment for a while as I had to change my daily car. I am now the owner of a Mk2 Capri which needed quite some mechanical work. Progress on the estate will soon be underway again so watch out for updates in the upcoming weeks.

29-04-2010: Engine hamper
I have recently got a number of engine parts from a local guy who was planning to tune up a Zetec but never got around doing it. The hamper included a short inlet, carbs, linkages, vernier pulleys, crank pulley and exhaust flange. More in the engine section.

25-03-2010: Rollcage done!
About two weeks ago I contacted a local fabrication shop to see if they would be able to do a rollcage for my estate. It happened they didn't have any cars in at that time, so the next day I took it there for the work to begin. More in the inside section.

08-03-2010: Bucket seats in.
I came across a pair of used bucket seats that seem to be custom made for the Anglia. I had never heard of the make (Xprix) but they fit perfectly between the door and tunnel, so I went for it anyway. More in the inside section.

24-02-2010: Back from blasting.
Finally another important milestone over, I took all the parts and doors off the car and sent it over for sand blasting. More details in the body section.

17-02-2010: Some custom goodies.
Last December I was toiling with my brother on how we were going to fit the remote reservoirs in place. We came up with an idea to mount them in the heater holes, but with a slight difference. More details in the inside section.

29-12-2009: Steering rack is now modified.
After going through a hundred and one ways to solve the steering rack problem, I have finally decided to add some more thread to the rod and cut a part off the end. More details in the front end section.

17-12-2009: Finally progress!
Work on the estate is underway once again after a long break. This time I am tackling the issue of the wheels sticking out the front mudguards. To go about this, I have ordered and installed a set of shortened adjustable TCAs which made just the right change. However, this has now caused the issue of the steering rack being too long, and therefore I have a massive toe-out on the wheels. I am currently evaluating my options to go about this, I'll keep you posted once it's solved.

For the time being you can have a look at the progress in the front end section.
